What is Social Jukebox? A Review on The Good and The Bad
When someone asks a question like “What is Social Jukebox” I believe the answer needs to be honest, pointing out both the good and the bad.
It’s my opinion that this is the only way the reader will be able to make a sound decision.
And that’s exactly what you’ll get on this review.
This is what we’ll be covering:

The Company | A Brief Story
In 2013 Tim Fargo decided he needed a tool to help him schedule his tweets and asked for the help of his long-time colleague Len Sixt to do the programming. It became a reality in January 2014.
What initially was a personal “time-saver” tool became a free app launched in January 2015. Shortly after, the paid version came into play.
And finally, in August 2016, the most recent version, that also includes posting to Facebook and LinkedIn, was launched.
What is Social Jukebox After All?
So, what exactly does this app do?
Imagine you wrote a book and decided to sell it on your website. In order to advertise it, you plan a campaign on social media, just like most of us do.
After all, it’s free and if you do it correctly, you’re able to reach tons of potential buyers.
Your campaign is mostly based on evergreen content because your posts refer to the book and topics addressed by it. They’re posts you can publish over and over (under reasonable time spans, of course) making sure that your audience sees them.
So your next step is to schedule those posts, right?
The thing is, although scheduling is much better than posting on real time, it’s still very time-consuming. In a month’s time, how many times would you schedule each post? 15-30 times? Considering all the posts you create, how many tweets would be necessary, in total?
You’d need loads of time, right?
That’s the point in the story when you think: “If only I could have a personal social media posting assistant…”
The thing is: you can! I like to think of Social Jukebox as exactly that type of assistant.
You create jukeboxes with all your posts, set how often and where (which Social Medium) you want them to be published and turn it on.
The tool will start publishing as scheduled. Once all tweets are done, the jukebox turns over – as a glass hour – and continues tweeting.
You don’t need to interfere in any aspect, it’s all automated.
I’m personally more active on Facebook than on Twitter, so I’m pretty happy that they’ve also started covering Facebook and LinkedIn.
Who Is Social Jukebox For?
Anyone with a medium to high need of sharing posts on any or all of the 3 platforms – Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn – can largely benefit from it.
I’m talking about bloggers, influencers, authors, agencies etc.
Think about evergreen content – or even new blog posts from your website – being automatically shared.
What Are Its Features?
Let’s dig a little on the features offered and how it can help its users.
* My Jukeboxes
This is the main area of the website. For each jukebox that you create you:
1) Write the post text,
2) Add an image (if you want to),
3) Repeat this for each post you want (you can store thousands of posts),
4) Set up the frequency of posting,
5) Turn the jukebox on.
6) The posts will be shared on the social networks and as often as you determined, in a random sequence.
It’s much like the story I told you at the beginning.
A little further down, there’s a video showing how you can use this tool. Check it out on 1:25.
>> Free Accounts get a Jukebox Library with 200 quotes to try out the platform.
Although it’s a nice way of testing the platform, I’d say you shouldn’t rely on this for your campaigns.
Always go for your own unique content. That’s what will help you stand out, not repeat quotes.
Now, let’s say you have a post that you want to go out every day at a certain time, maybe every Friday at 5:00 pm before your weekly webinar.
In that case, you’d use Targeted Posts.
* Targeted Posts
For specific post going out on a fixed time, all you need to do is:
1) Write the post text,
2) Set up the Start Date and Time,
3) Specify the Frequency you want it posted,
4) and an End Date (if you wish)
5) Add a Photo (optional)
6) After you click the Submit button you’ll be all set. That specific post will be published as you’ve just determined.
On the video below (under ‘How do people actually use it?’) check out how it’s done on 5:17.
* Visual Schedule
This is a very handy feature that allows us to easily see what’s scheduled for each day/time.
The beauty here is that In the case that there are conflicting posts, you can modify the posting time and enhance your followers’ experience. 🙂
* Auto Schedule
The scheduling here is automatically done by the system. We just need to choose:
1) the jukeboxes we want,
2) the days of the week when we want the posts to take place,
3) the total daily updates, meaning how many total posts will be shared during each day.
So, if we select 12 jukeboxes, 7 days/week, and a total of 36 daily updates, the system will automatically schedule:
3 posts from each of the jukeboxes spaced out during each day of the week.
If you go to Visual Schedule from here, you’ll see how everything is nicely programmed, with no collisions between them.
>> The Auto Schedule can be a bit more flexible. We can select a different number of posts for each selected jukebox, on specific days of the week. Check it out on this video.
Support & Training Could be Better
Support is limited to an FAQ section (very limited) and a Contact form.
And training is restricted to some YouTube videos made by Tim Fargo, president and founder.
Pricing | Membership Plans
Once you test it using a Free Account, you can upgrade to one of 4 Plans, ranging from $19.99/mo to $99.99/mo.
There is a 16.66% discount if you decide for any of the annual plans.
Here are all the details of each available plan:
How Do People Actually Use It?
I could show you one of the videos available on Social Jukebox’s YouTube channel – like most reviews do – but I thought it would be more interesting for you to watch something else.
I suggest you watch this quick video so that you get the real picture as to how one can actually benefit from using Social Jukebox.
Blog posts, pictures, quotes, YouTube video… these are some things that Paul Nicholson has handed over to Social Jukebox to share on his social media feeds for him.
P.S.: The pricing plan he mentions is no longer available. The current membership plans are the ones I showed above.
If you still want to check out one of the product’s videos on YouTube, click here.
✅ Free trial, no credit cards needed
✅ Simple to use
✅ Large library with several pre-made Jukeboxes ready to use (you may also edit them if you wish)
✅ 4 pricing plans for different needs which makes the basic plan pretty reasonably priced
❌ Not available on other popular social networks such as Pinterest, Instagram, Google+
❌ Support is limited to an FAQ section (very limited) and a Contact form.
❌ Training is based on a few YouTube videos. Good thing that this is a pretty easy-to-use tool.
✅ You can spend the time you’d be scheduling your posts, actually engaging with your followers.
✅ Automatically sharing your content allows you to plan your posts more frequently. You’ll then get more visibility, which will potentially lead to more followers and an increase of page views on your website.
✅ When you use Visual Schedule you get to see if there is any interference with certain jukeboxes. Since you don’t want to post everything at the same time if there are any conflicting posts you’d be able to easily spread things out.
✅ You can easily schedule your postings targeting an audience that is in a different time zone. This way, while you’re sleeping, Social Jukebox will take care of sharing content on the perfect time for those that are on the other side of the world.
There’s an opportunity here to monetize your site if you’re in the Affiliate Marketing niche.
I wouldn’t say this is the most profitable program out there but it’s still a chance. You don’t want to leave money on the table, right?
It’s like we talked about in this post “How to Find Affiliate Programs for Your Website“.
NOT inserting an affiliate link to a product that you review (or even just mention on your blog) would be missing out a monetization opportunity.

Wrapping Things Up
I have to admit that I wasn’t too impressed by 2 aspects of Social Jukebox:
1) First one is its appearance. It seems a bit outdated and could be enhanced.
2) The FAQ section is a list of only 16 questions, briefly answered. 3 of them advise the reader to watch a tutorial video.
Unfortunately, the answer to “I don’t understand the Social Jukebox system can you give me a tutorial?” results in an error:
On the other hand, I can see the huge benefit that Social Jukebox can bring to most any business since we all need to be connected and sharing on our social media accounts.
In my opinion, a poor FAQ section and a dated appearance aren’t enough to spoil the benefits of a significant increase in the number of followers thus website views and conversions.
>> On a quick note, of course, nothing will be able to help a website that doesn’t comply with SEO best practices and other techniques that lead to a successful online business. To find out where I learned these Internet Marketing methods click here.
Even with these downsides, I’d still go for Social Jukebox. As a matter of fact, I did.
I’ve started trying the Free Plan. Depending on the results, I may decide to upgrade it.
